Warning - This discussion is about snot.......
Sinus issues suck. I had mine scraped at the age of 20, it was as awful as it sounds. The Doctor literally scrapes your sinus cavities with a sharp object and packs your nose full of gauze for about two weeks or until it stops leaking....whichever comes first. I was told there would be minor discomfort to follow...bunch of bull. What followed were my sinus issues returning about 9 months later. To this day, I continue to suffer from sinus pressure, sinus headaches and a leaky nose. My poor, lovely husband has gotten use to my wet kitten like kisses AND the random tissues I hide under my pillow at night that creep their way over to his side of the bed by morning.....gross, I know.

The other day, I took a Yoga class at my new favorite, fancy Dallas home away from home (check out my husbands honest, but slightly brazen, review of our new gym here). I couldn't keep the Dog downward for more then 30 seconds without feeling like my eyeballs were going to bust out of their sockets....I felt like a Yogi reject.
Shame aside, I asked the tall & handsome drink of water (that was the instructor) what he thought the problem could be. He asked me, quite confident that he already knew the answer, if I had any sinus challenges... to which I responded by wiping my nose dry with my sleeve. His recommendation would ensure both a night of comedic relief for my husband, who I am sure will want to watch this, AND some long term relief for the pain I feel in my face on a daily basis.
The Neti Pot.......
Its like street cleaning your nasal passages with a plastic gravy boat. You let saline water flow through one nasal passage and out the other while any excess liquid that loses its way comes out your mouth. It kinda makes sense if you think about it...you brush your teeth, wash your face so why wouldn't you clean all the crap out of your nose after a full day of breathing in. You need to be REAL relaxed to make this magic work but I am told its good stuff. The Neti Pot can be purchased at almost any Target.
Check out this brave woman below flushing it all out with a smile...and her hair looks great.

My handsome Yoga instructor swears it will do the trick and he better be right....cause that looks insane...but I'll try almost anything once. Wish me luck!
