Denim.
When I was in the 8th grade, The Gap was a place wear dreams came true! A wonderful world of striped cotton turtlenecks, over sized jean jackets and adorably cozy argyle socks. I was obsessed.
In 2002 I ended my affair with the Gap when I discovered designer jeans. I bought my first pair at Bloomingdale for what was, at the time, an obscene amount of money. I ate Ramen noodles and tuna fish for two weeks to pay for them. I've been paying $150+ for jeans ever since......until yesterday....when I rediscovered the Gap.
Please, let me draw your attention to the Gap's Always Skinny Jean:

The Gap doesn't get everything right. The blazers are a bit boxy and their idea of purple is something only a clown could pull off but the price point is spot on. I'm headed back to the Gap for $69.50 jeans and 40% off on Wednesday's in December, you should too.
