A time for change....about face!

Warning: To all of my non makeup wearing readers - this post is about make-up and make-up accessories. I have made a few must-have discoveries/purchases that are changing my life just a little bit.

I am new to the powder market. I am not much of a "make-up" person but I am turning OLD this month and am showing signs of UNEVENESS according to my fancy new dermatologist. My options were fancy and expensive technology treatments or Pressed Powder. I chose the latter, $30 at Ulta. The results are pretty awesome, I'm impressed with myself.

According to the counter lad with florescent yellow and green eye shadow at the MAC counter, this is like the Swiss Army Knife of make-up brushes. Its best use is for lightweight application and blending powder which includes blush so it is multi-tasking. It feels soft and furry. I kinda want a pillow made out of it.

This is a natural and organic luxury make-up line my mother-in-law introduced me too. I feel expensive and grown-up when I wear it. I have recently purchased the Mascara Noir and Le Stylo liquid eyeliner, both are A-Maz-Ing and come in purple and last all day. I swear it makes me feel like Victoria Principal.......

Sunblock is mandatory and the spf 15 in your moisturizer isn't going to cut it. This stuff goes on over your moisturizer and under your make-up. Its super lightweight and disappears almost instantly, no greasy layer remaining after you apply. I'm pretty sensitive and I've had no issues. Its a little pricey, but worth it.

Lemon Water - Free plus the cost of a lemon
Lastly, nothing does the body better then a giant glass of lemon water! It's free, refreshing and your body is made up of 60 percent of it. Adding a little lemon to your water not only cleans your mouth, it helps alleviate constipation, aids in the digestive process and works as a natural skin cleanser! Leave a pitcher of water with a few thin lemon slices in your refrigerator or make a water bottle with lemon slices in advance to take with you as you are running out the door.
