Sausage, Salsa and Slaw!

Who needs a backyard to BBQ.......

Apparently I don't.  Just a garage with no cars, some good friends and something to fill the belly.  Fabulous:
Freshly made salsa with finely chopped tomatoes from Catherine

 Hangin' in the alley....

Kiley's Sangria that I may or may not have continued to refill with wine when the juice was gone

Oldie but goodie....Deviled Eggs!

Make-shift beer pong

Good ol' fashion slaw!

Homemade hummus topped cucumber!
Ingredients:
  • 1 can of chickpeas (Save the liquid)
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 Cucumbers peeled and sliced
  • Black sesame seeds (which sort of looked like ants but added a nice texture)
Method:
  • In a food processor, combine the mashed garlic, garbanzo beans, tahini, lemon juice, 1/4 cup of chickpea juice and olive oil.
  • Process until smooth. Add a little more chickpea juice to loosen if necessary and add some ground sea salt to taste
  • Pour hummus into plastic sandwich baggie.  Cut off one corner and pipe hummus onto the cucumber circles.
  • Top with black sesame seeds
Happy almost 4th of July weekend!!
